Anastasia is an independent and an aspiring filmmaker that was recently awarded the Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, Miami Beach. She has two degrees in Acting for film and has substantial experience in film and video production, including every phase of development. She is trained and adept with numerous related technical areas, including expertise with cameras, lighting, editing equipment, sound and color correction, audio/visual and on-set devices and hardware, for both in-studio and on remote location projects.
Her experience with production administration, finance, talent management, and business practices, including contracts and permits, has given her the opportunity to manage and direct fellow postgraduate students and she has since gone on to launch her own production company Anakofilm Corp.
Anastasia continues to work with leading Russian music labels and has debuted several of her own short films including, "The Choice," "The Mighty Arm" and "Late Again Ana," which she wrote, produced, directed, edited and acted. "Late Again Ana” has won several awards including "Best Student Film of the Year" (Los Angeles Film Festival); "Best Narrative Short” (Festigious Film Festival) and "Best Woman Filmmaker" at the Vegas Movie Awards. Recent projects include short films "Watch Me", which is currently in post-production, and short film "Neophile", which will start the pre-production in fall 2020.
She believes that film is an intensely personal form of art and that it’s always only about telling a story, even when you are filming about a bottle of water!
